The course
Subscription for the course next semester (September 2012 - February 2013) will be opened in August 2012
‘Ready to Startup!’ is a course for students and PhD-students who are planning to start their own business. The course is meant to guide the students through the first phase of starting up a new venture, in which a well-written business plan is essential for entrepreneurial success.
During the course different aspects of entrepreneurship are discussed, which lead to writing a complete and professional business plan. The various subjects will be discussed in talks by different lecturers and consultants of Roland Berger. In addition a few prominent entrepreneurs and previous course participants will share some experience on running their own business. The participating groups will be intensively coached by Roland Berger consultants.
The lecture series will be given in English! The lectures will take place on Wednesday afternoons from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM in the YES!Delft Incubator at the Molengraaffsingel 12. After each lecture drinks will be served where previous course participants will also join in!
The lecture series end with a Final Day, in which the business plans will be presented in front of a jury. On this day a prize of EUR 1500,- will be awarded to the best business plan. And a price of EUR 1000,- will be awarded to the best financial plan.
The course is worth 6 ECTS credits, but experience learns that more time should be spent on the course: after all, you’re taking the first step towards owning your own business. It is obliged to participate in a group consisting of at least two persons.
Looking for a teammate?
Having a team when you start up a new business is key. Participation in the course therefore requires that you have a team of at least two members.
